Centre Street is a shared-ministry, lay-led church. Our Worship Planning Team collaborates with the deacons, musicians, and lay preachers to put together worship services that are meaningful, accessible, and Spirit filled.
All services are held at 10:00 on Sunday morning, and although the worship services vary somewhat from week to week, here's the basic plan.
We celebrate Holy Communion on the first and fourth Sundays of each month, led by Laurel and Sarina, our wonderful deacons.
On the first three Sundays of each month, we offer hybrid worship services that are held in the sanctuary but also live streamed on Zoom.
On fourth Sundays, we worship exclusively on Zoom. This gives us a chance to catch up with our regular "Zoomers" and take advantage of technology in ways that we can't easily do in the sanctuary.
In months with a fifth Sunday, we worship in more individual, non-traditional ways. Some folks visit other churches, either in person or online, while others spend the worship hour on a hike or in their gardens. And there's usually a group of Centre Streeters who happily worship together over blueberry pancakes in the church vestry.
